When I was a boy, the world seemed huge, full of power and possibilities. I was born into a family of healers, where touching the suffering flesh was a custom, a legacy, and a vocation. Even as a child, I was drawn to the power and silence of nature, the textbook of life, which my grandfather, a forest ranger, wordlessly taught among centuries-old trees and wild animals. The roots – the first lessons: School was just another stage on which I proved myself – a leader in science, wrestling, Latin dances, and horse riding. From an early age, the combination of discipline and curiosity made me a leader among my peers. When I walked the forest paths, I watched the silence of the wind and healed the wounded little animals. I was becoming a bridge between man and nature. Illness as an insight.
